Thanks to my sister's stint at Shape Mag, I got this pale-ass picture of me in this month's Shape. She just submitted my pic in my friendster account and then they cropped it.

Looking at it now, I wonder why it WAS my favourite picture.

Oh well, and yeah.. 'TACO', I know what you're thinking.. I couldn't help it, my choices of wholemeal sandwich, granola bars were already used up by the other gals below me (friends of my other sister).

Hur. The past few months and the future months will have feature a lot more familliar faces I suppose.

hmmm....

I think I should get some royalties for this.

anyhow,
finally met up with this girl I didn't meet for the past 3 years.
it's scary how one can put off things due to many irrational fears and self-concocted reasons.

anyway it was pretty good.
lunch at coffee club, shop-see at ikea...

i worried myself sick the day prior to meeting up with her.
call it a guilty conscience or whatever.

oh well,
i'm glad we met up.
and we're meeting up again next week.

i just hope that time will heal everything.

Yesterday afternoon at around 12-ish,
I was MSNing LIMIN!!!!!
(yes fin. the bitch is back from Belgium)
after 6 long months of being away from Singapore,
like any bona fide discount-hunter born and bred here,
she asked me,

"Wanna go watch free movie at Cathay?"

and to which I said YES! (no brainer. it's free!!!)

I got ready in a record breaking FIFTEEN MINUTES! (didn't style my hair and make-up was done badly)

It was pouring,
but thru sheer determination and a short taxi ride,
I got to her block and took an express bus down-town.

we watched the FANTASTIC FOUR which wasn't as cheesy as I expected it to be.
the fire boy or whatever you call him is pretty hilarious
and jessica alba didn't disappoint.
I always loved her in dark angel.
I hate her with blonde hair now tho.

We had lunch at this cafe with 1 for 1.
Drooled over pictures of her in Belgium.
And basically caught up in no time at all.
I filled her in on the details of my life & vice versa...
and Voila.
we're on the same page again.

This is what I LOVE about some people.
Although they are not part of your daily lives,
and you seldom see them,
but because you share a certain amount of history with them
the moment you sit down and chat,
it feels like we were never apart.

It's rather ironic actually,
some people whom you meet on a regular basis feel more distant than those whom you seldom meet.

Gotta go study for the general insurance exam now,
and Auntie is preparing Lasagne for me!!!!!
ahhh... can't wait for the cheesy heavenly goodness.

Brian's sleeping now, as usual.....
I love watching people sleep.
they look the most innocent and vulnerable.

oh yes.
LOST! I finished episode 13......

How else do you explain that I have a bloody INFECTED and swollen toe after a pedicure?

Normal people,
average people,
the girl in the street who goes for a pedicure would NOT walk out of the place with a bloody toe.

okay, to the manicurist's benefit,
I really enjoyed the massage and the scubbing of my legs.
The service was good.
I had nothing to complain about except for the toe.
and because the manicurist looked so truly apologetic after cutting off my skin when cutting my cuticle...
i couldn't find it in my heart to kick up a big fuss,
which I usually do when I'm on the receiving end of lousy service.

ANd besides,
during the pedicure, it was hardly painful.
the pain got really bad only after I got home.

UGH. why must this happen to me?
Too bad... I'm not the girl in the street.
Why must I be the girl with the unfortunate toe which is throbbing with pain as I speak?



WEEP for me.

I had to watch these to make me forget about the pain!!!


one last look at this LOUSY-ass toilet paper dispenser. I'm returning it to the shop. the bloody toilet paper won't come out.
I have tried all sorts of paper from the softest to the toughest, the damn gorilla's mouth is just shut too tight!!!!
whoever designed this is a DIMWIT and deserves to die.
see what i mean?
I can't even buy a gift for the boyfriend without running into shit.

Pray that I get the subjects I want.
but judging by my luck,
I doubt it.

Yesterday's lunch with Mitch at Amici's was a delight,
altho now we know that lunch set-meals are rip-offs.
They price it so low cos of the little portions they give ya.

And then lunch was followed up with walking around the village aimlessly,
buying little trinkets here and there.

I wake up every morning,
and watch either some Will & Grace, some DVD,
or some Starworld.

Eat some food,
have some Ice-cream,
and I continue to couch hog.

This IS the life.

I'm gonna be lazing the day away.
am also looking forward to another trip to JB tmr.
I want some cheap food and a pedicure.

Throw in a foot massage,
and i'll be in bliss.
