Woke up this morning together with the birthday boy.
he had to give tuition, I had to nurse a forceful PRATA craving.
I walked outta the room,
and to my immense disappointment,
I saw a big plate of chu chang fen or ching chong fan on the table.
Looking at Auntie's expectant look,
i knew this plate of dough with peanut butter and black sauce dripping from it...
had my NAME written all over it.
I guess I work better under pressure.
I immediately told her that I was going downstairs to get the paper.
Headed downstair with the boy,
he went off to give tuition,
I darted into the coffee shop,
ordered my prata while looking around surreptitiously,
uncle or auntie could be anywhere.
I silently fumed at the fact that I could only eat one prata now, not the usual two.
oh man.
when the egg prata came.
i felt like i had died and gone to heaven.
IT's lightly crisped all over,
golden brown,
and its curry is to die for!!!
I hid my face behind the straits times,
and gobbled the tiny piece of heaven,
all the while mistaking skinny old men for brian's dad.
After I was satiated,
I rushed back to his place,
took my seat beside his mum,
and dug into my plate of chee chong fun.
what a morning.
